Dr. Har Prashad is presently consultant of Centre for Tribology Incorporated, (CETR) USA. He is retired Senior Deputy General Manager (Tribology) from the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Corporate Research and Development Division, Hyderabad. He obtained an M.E. (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1970, and subsequently, Ph.D. in Tribology. He worked with the Indian Institute of Petroleum, Dehra Dun, and with the Design Bureau at Bokaro Steel Ltd., Dahnbad, Bihar, before joining BHEL in 1974.

Dr. Prashad has published more than 125 papers in both national and international journals. He is the author of six technical books. The book on "Tribology in Electrical Environments" is published from United Kingdom by Elsevier Publishers in December 2005. The second book on 'Solving Tribology Problems of Rotating Machines "is published by Wood head Publishers, U.K, in February 2006. The third book on "Integral Approaches to Tribo-testing in Mechanical Engineering" is published by CRC, USA in August 2009. The fourth book on "Behaviour of Rolling Element Bearings under Shaft Voltages" is published by Lambert, Academic Publisher of Germany in 2011. Also, the fifth book on "Electrical Analogy for Analysis of Different Types of Hydrodynamic Journal & Thrust Bearings" is published by the same publisher in August 2011. Sixth book published by LAP Academic Publisher, Germany in October 2011 is "A System Approach to Mechanical Engineering Problems". Also, the book on "Anti-friction Bearings and Lubricants under Electrical Currents" is under process for publication by LAP and shall be published in 2012.

By the inspiration of Almighty and His divine grace, after lifelong spiritual engrossment the book on "Spikes of Deep Silence by Silence and in Silence" has been accomplished.

The book deals in depth understanding of multifold dimensions of abstract sciences as conceived and perceived by the self-analysis and from valuable sayings and quotations of many spiritually evolved and self-realized divine personalities of the world from their rare classical universal wonderful contributions, which evolved my thinking and created the spikes of silence in my deep contemplation. These have been suitably and appropriately analysed with proper modulation and evolved contemplation in silence with philosophical churning by the divine grace before adding to this book. This book is unique in many ways and directions since it contains the essence of various complex abstract subjects/sciences including Scientific Vedanta & Vedic philosophy, Internal Vigilance, Third power, All About Superstitions, One, two, three and Infinity, Kingdom of God and Peace, Not by Bread Alone, Through the Gate of God, In the Garden of Silence, What Then Must We Do?, Common Sense Ethics etc., which have deeply influenced me throughout my life and finally perceived in silence by the beauty and perfection of truth in multifold dimensions.
