After the demise of Dr Trilochan Singh, (February 15, 1993) the book was revised, documented and enlarged by his son Professor Anurag Singh. This extensively researched and profusely documented edition is now being given as a gift to those who value Sikhism in its pristine purity.
Religion and Cultural Anurag Singh (b.1953) co-author of this book did his post graduation in History and English, and was trained in writing, editing and translating the sacred texts by his celebrated father Dr Trilochan Singh. His works include Giani Kirpal Singh's Eye Witness Account of Operation Blue Star (Trs) A Brief Account of Life and Works of Guru Gobind Singh, Sikhism and Six Hindu Systems, Sikhism and Yoga: Quest for Self- realization and God-realization, Glimpses of Guru Nanak: Within Reach of All, Glimpses of Guru Tegh Bahadur Prophet of Peace and Defender of Faith, Hukamnamas of Guru Tegh Bahadur: Text, Historicity, Transliteration and Translation, Raga Ratan: Pearls of Celestial Symphony, Nanak Nam Chardi Kala.
Two friends and neighbours from my village home in India (Mansurpur, Jalandhar District), Mr. Jojan Singh Sandhu and Mr. Pritam Singh Sandhu, generously made arrangements for a whole year of board, lodging and other financial facilities, the like of which no Sikh Institution could provide all my life for my research work anywhere. The hospitality of these friends, the generous extension for stay given by the Home Office, and money coming from my lectures and writings, enabled me to do considerable research work and collect many out of print books and rare documents from the British Museum and other libraries.
