All the Spiritual Texts of Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale deal with the doctrine and practice of Spirituality comprehensively. The topics covered by them are substantiated with their own experiences and therefore these texts inspire even a layman to undertake spiritual practice. Similarly, they strengthen faith in those on the path of spiritual endeavour, seeker and the devotee, thereby steadying their steps on the path of Righteousness. Spiritual texts co-authored by Dr. Jayant with His life partner Dr. Kunda have been translated in many languages. Pleased with their seva (Spiritual service) done with humility and devotion, their Guru merged in the Supreme, Srimat Sadguru Bhaktaraj Maharaj lavishly bestowed upon them the Supreme Divine Knowledge and Devotion. As a benevolent result, Dr. Jayant founded the Sanatan Sanstha’. The Sanstha has centers spread across the globe and is effectively working toward spread of Spirituality’s eternal, true Knowledge in scientific terminology.
In the year 1989, Dr. Jayant Balaji athavale (Compiler) wrote the first Holy text “Spirituality”, which was cyclostyled. Later, when he showed it to His Guru H.H. Bhaktaraj Maharaj. He said My Guru blessed me bt saying that I will write many books. I wrote only one book of Bhajans. I bestow my Guru’s blessings on you, write many short and compact books on each aspect of Spirituality.
The result of his blessings is that now we have a collection of Holy text which provide all encompassing guidance on subjects like Dharma, Spirituality, Art Protecting the Nation, Psychology etc.
In the first cyclostyled Holy text written by H.H.Dr. Jayant Balaji Athavale various Principles necessary for the contemporary times came into existence originating from the Neelbindu (Sri Vishnu Principle). In these Holy texts, Knowledge which is filled with wnique Radiance and chaitanya of the respective Deities has manifested for the benefit of mankind..
When we understand the spiritual science ‘about a Deity, it strengthens our faith in the Deity. Faith increases bhav and such worship becomes more fruitful. With this view, an emphasis is laid upon providing in this Holy text, information that is not normally available elsewhere and is useful from the spiritual point of view
The devotees of Lord Shiva and those who perform sectarian spiritual practice of Lord Shiva will certainly benefit from this spiritual information; however, a common man should remember the following rule in this regard When some people read the Ramayan, they feel like worshipping Lord Ram and upon reading the Atharvashirsha, Lord Ganesh. Similarly, after reading this Holy text some people may feel like worshipping Lord Shiva. However, undertaking such spiritual practice does not lead to rapid spiritual progress in all the devotees, because it will benefit only those who need that worship to make spiritual progress. A common man cannot decide whether the worship of Lord Shiva is essential for him. Only those who are spiritually evolved can understand this; hence a common man should read this Holy text merely for the sake of information. To get the spiritual experience of Lord Shiva one should carry out the first step in spiritual practice that is, chant the Name of one’s Kuldevta (family Deity). Later, if the Guru asks one to chant the Name of Lord Shiva or if it is necessary to chant it for spiritual progress in the next stage of spiritual practice, then this information will help to augment faith in Lord Shiva. We pray at the Holy feet of Sri Guru — May the faith of devotees of Lord Shiva strengthen further and may everyone get inspiration to augment their spiritual practice by reading this Holy text.
