The concept of Supreme Reality - the underlying principle behind everything is explained in a lucid style. The Reality which is pure consciousness is constant, eternal, infinite and exists both inside and outside. It is greater than the greatest, greater than the earth, the sky, the mountains, the rivers and even the oceans. After explaining the nature of reality, the relationship of reality with the elements and senses is explained. The author then shows the reader the path one should follow in pursuit of Reality. It is stated that the Reality need not be searched for outside, but one should look inward within one's own self. It is within one's own heart, and is enveloped by untruth due to our longing for external objects of senses. At the same time, there is the path of divine knowledge which directly leads one to Reality without any intermediate stages. It is stated that Reality has to be actually realized. Mere intellectual comprehension of reality is not enough.
Dwelling into the soul-Supreme Reality relationship, the autho, states that power of the soul is drawn from the all-powerful reality of which soul is a segment. The individual soul, the universal spirit and the absolute reality are indistinguishable and cannot be discriminated from one another. When we are engrossed in the worldly things, we cannot perceive this unity of oneness due to our ignorance. To achieve reality, our very attitude and disposition should undergo change. We should feel that there is some superior force guiding our life and destiny. We must give up our ego. Then the Supreme Reality acts as our friend, philosopher and guide. Such an attitude gives us a sense of certainty that someone else is carrying the burdens for us and we can be free from worries.
In this world which is full of darkness caused by our own ignorance, a world in which mankind finds itself stranded, directionless, facing an emptiness, this book will certainly prove to be a true companion, philosopher and a guide in the pursuit of Reality.

The author has succeeded in providing an exemplary exposition of 'para-vidya' (Supreme Knowledge) which is the knowledge of the'Real', declared to be comprehensive of all. By knowing this knowledge, what is unheard becomes heard and what is not perceived becomes known. The journey from the unreal to the 'Real' is facilitated by the reflective consciousness of a human being who undertakes an earnest investigation of different ends of life. The celebrated prayer says, "from the unreal lead me to the 'Real', from darkness lead me to the light, from death lead me to immotality". The knowledge of the 'Real' dispels all our doubts and disbeliefs, frees us from all fear and secures for us unexcellable bliss. The Upanishads affirm that the quest of the Real' (the Infinite) is the supreme end of life It describes the 'Real' as, "the soul of truth, the anchor of ille, the delight of the mind, and the fullness of peace and eternity". Sankara observes in his commentary on a particular passage in the Upanishad that "even one well-versed in the scriptures should not set about seeking the knowledge of the Infinite by himself". Going to the Guru is not a mere formality but a necessity. For an aspirant engaged in relentless and persevering quest of the Infinite, this book, "Seek the Reality and the Reality itself seeks you" provides abundant discriminative sense (viveka) to pursue the quest for realization of the Absolute Reality by spiritual experience.
