Stars and planets have always fascinated us. The steady majesty of these cosmic bodies have had a captivating effect on humans from ancient times. Astrology involves the forecasting of mundane events in one's life through analysing planets, fixed stars and their arbitrary combinations called constellation. Astrology uses a set of rules about the relative positions and movements of heavenly bodies to generate predictions and explanations for events and human personality traits.

We can understand the unambiguous truth of how Astrology embodies à sense that life on Earth is affected by events in the wider universe, and how it offers hope of making sense of a bewilderingly complicated cosmos, and reassures us that we are a part of its grand design.

The motivation behind this book is to establish a comprehensive, concise yet dynamic guide that can help anyone learn this science.

Dr. Shalini Garg, the Author, is currently the Managing Director at Uday Buildwell Pvt. Ltd. She has been an Asst. Professor with an M.Phil. and PhD in Education. She is a Guinness World Record Holder, avid blogger and speaker, who likes to share her thoughts, raise awareness and open dialogue through her write-ups.

Her passion for astrology, fell on her way after her marriage, a zeal she picked up from her husband. Astrology has always fascinated her and intrigued her as a science of knowing the unknown. After studying the subject for over 12 years, she felt the need for a comprehensive book that guided the novice in their pursuit of learning this subject. Through this book, she wish to introduce astrology, as a science that aids and guides one in their everyday lives.

I spent the first 30 years of my life, having an unchanging and constant world view, about the meaning of life and what the future holds for us. I was unknowing about the impact of the cosmic bodies on our lives, and how they shape our past, present and the future. My first introduction to Astrology was through my husband, who started reading on the subject after the passing away of my father-in-law in 2009. My husband had a great attachment with his father, which led him to feeling depressed after his demise. He started reading books on Vastu and Astrology, in order to understand and cope up with the hard times that he was facing. He used to discuss a lot about his new interest and being his partner, I gave him an ear but half heartedly so. Then came a day which changed my perspective regarding the subject; it was when my husband asked about my birth details and prepared my birth chart. When I saw that chart and what it informed me about my life, I truly surrendered to this divine knowledge. I spent 30 years of my life in the same way as I was destined to, I had heard a lot about how God is the creator of all and the universe functions as per his wishes but I was unaware of his wants, and my purpose here. This science provided me with the ability to understand the higher purpose of life and being for which I was sent here.
