About the Book
The Vedas are the oldest scriptures of DAS mankind and are rightly considered as the mother of all religions. Their message transcends barriers of race, creed or religion.

Today the nectar of the Vedas is restricted to scholars and priests. The present generation is unaware of the knowledge contained therein. There are two reasons for this-firstly these are in Sanskrit, an AS-1 language hardly spoken today, and EDA VE secondly their composition is terse, archaic and esoteric.

In Sayings from the Vedas a humble attempt has been made to fuse the verses with Nature photographs and distill the essence of the Holy Books in as pleasant a manner as possible for the benefit of the common man. The main motivating factor is to highlight the thoughts contained in the S-VE JEDA Vedas, which will remain relevant to VED mankind forever.

Preface
The word 'Veda, derived from the root Vid (to know), indicates a vast body of sacred knowledge revealed by the Supreme God himself to the ribs while they were meditating at the time of creating life. As such, these are the revered scriptures of Hinduism. In the beginning these were transmitted orally, and later recorded in writing. There are four Vedas: the Rig Veda, the Yajur Veda, the Sama Veda and the Atharva Veda. Altogether they contain about 21,000 verses.

The Vedas are the oldest scriptures of mankind and are rightly considered as the mother of all religions. Their message transcends barriers of race, creed or religion.

Today, unfortunately the nectar of the Vedas is restricted to scholars and priests. The present generation is unaware of the knowledge contained therein. There are two reasons for this-firstly these are in Sanskrit, a language hardly spoken today, and secondly their composition is terse, archaic and esoteric.

Since the Vedas comprise hymns without any narrative link between them, I have included some hymns in this book.

A humble attempt has been made to fuse the verses with Nature photographs and distill he essence of the Holy Books in as pleasant a manner as possible for the benefit of the ommon man. The main motivating factor is to highlight the thoughts contained in he Vedas, which will remain relevant to mankind forever. Though every effort has been ade to translate the Sanskrit hymns correctly, yet errors, if any, are regretted.
