The present work is a collection of twentytwo articles. Most of them were 'presented as papers at National and International Seminars and conferences. They were acclaimed and appreciated by the Scholars and were published in reputed Research Journals. Some of them were broadcast from All India Radio, Mumbai.. The Collection sustains the varied interest. The exposition is aimed at new findings. Topics are drawn from Sanskrit Literature, Literary Criticism, Philosophy, Polity, Vedic Poetry, Creativity, Creative Process, Culture, Linguistics, Tradition, Sustainable Develo pment, Creative writer's attitude towards Eco-System, Sports and Pastime of Ancient India, Indian Ethos reflected in Literature, Nature Poetry and the like.
Dr. Natavar Joshi Reader, Department of Sanskrit, K.J.Somaiya College of Arts and Commerce, Mumbai has been postgraduate teacher in the University of Mumbai for a number of years.
He took his Master's Degree (with first class) and Ph.D from the University of Mumbai, Sastri in Sänkara-Vedänta and Acarya in Sahitya Sastra from Varanaseya San skrit Vishvavidyalaya, Varanasi.
The area of his interest has been San skrit Poetics and Literary Criticism as well as Śänkaravedänta. His work "Poetry, Creativity and Aesthetic Experience" was publshed in 1994.
It gives me immense pleasure to place this collection of twenty-two articles before the lovers of Sanskrit and students of Indology.
I must express my sincere thanks to my teachers late Prof. B.V. Vyas, Dr. (Smt.) S.S. Dange, Dr. S.A. Dange, Prof. S.A. Upadhyay, Dr. V.M. Kulkarni and my friends Dr. G.K. Pai, Dr. Gautam Patel, and Dr. Satyapal Narang who inspired and involved me in the scholarly pursuit.
