The Adyar Library is reprinting the Yoga, Samanya, Vedanta, Vaisnava, Sakta, and Samnyasa Upanisads with the commentary of Upanisad Brahmayogin and their translations.
The Sakta Upanisads. This book contains the texts of eight Upanisads. These are composed to teach the heart-warming ceremonial worship of mother Goddess, Sri Mahatripura –sundari for attaining the Advaitic view of Universe: ‘All is Brahman’.
The first edition of the Sakta Upanisads was issued by the then Director of the Adyar Library, Pandit A. Mahadeva Sastri in 1925. It went out of print in 1948. The demand for copies of the work showed steady increase and the present edition is now issued to meet the demand. This is only a reprint of the first edition.
The materials on which is based this edition of the Sakta-Upanisads comprised in this volume are the same as those describes in the volume of The Yoga Upanisads.
