About the Author

Dr. Vinod Gayakwad is a well-known novelist in Marathi and has written about 50 novels. His novel "YUGANTA" based on epic character BHISHMA of Maha Bharata has won many awards. He has also written more than 200 short stories, four dramas and many critical writings in Marathi.

Recently he has written the novel "Sai" in Marathi based on the life of Shirdi Sai and it is well received and being translated in to many languages.

Presently Dr. Vinod Gayakwad is working in Marathi Dept. of Rani Chennamma University, Belgaum. TRANSLATOR: Shri. S P Sampgaonkar has translated the SAI novel from Marathi to English and he hails from Dandeli.
