Dr C.B. Varma, (M.A.; gold-medallist, Delhi University; D.Litt) is Chair of Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) for Sanskrit and Buddhist Studies and is currently on official deputationtoPreah Sihanouk Raja Buddhist University, Phnom Penh, Cambodia as Visiting Professor for Royal Government of Cambodia. He has authored several books, viz., A Concise Encyclopedia of Early Buddhist Philosophy, Buddhist Phenomenology, Dictionary of Abhidhammic Terms (with Foreword by George Cardona), Manual of Buddhism, Compendium of Buddhist Literature, A Handbook of Buddhist Languages, Methodology for Editing and Translating a Source Material on History of Science etc. He also has the distinction of having established the Pali manuscript no. 353 of Bibliotheque Nationale Paris composed in peculiar Cambodian mula script, which has won world-wide recognition particularly from Cambodian governmentinstitutes and universities; and its Cambodian version of which is under publication by PRS Buddhist University.
