The present work is a collection of twenty one essays contributed by the author in various research journals over the last decade. They mostly deal with the concept of Dharma dealt within various authoritative works by various authors. In addition some essays deal with literary included topic as well included. The Volume is a companion to the earlier work of the author dealing with the reflections on adoption which was well-received.

Born in an agricultural family as the 4" child of Kattuvalapil Raman Ezhuthachan and Kamalam 1967. Secured MA Sanskrit Sahitya from Sree Nilakanta Government Sanskrit College, Pattambi, M. Phil From Kerala University Kariavattom Campus and Ph. D from Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit in 2007 under the guidance of Dr. P. C. Muraleemadhavan. From 1997, working in SSUS as a Lecture in the Department of Sahitya. Now working at SSU Regional Centre Tirur as a Reader in Sanskrit Sahitya.
The present volumes consists of a collection of 21 papers which were contributed to research journals and commemoration volume during the past decade. Though the subjects dealt with are varied their general field of studies pertain to Dharmasastra and related problems. Hence a general ttle is given to the present volume as Reflections on Dharmasastra. Smrtis and Dharmasastras are very much related in several as poets. They form the contral theme of Indian culture, and as such there essays will be useful for the appreciation of Indian culture.
I decided to collect together these papers as suggested by my teacher and guide Dr. N.P. Unni our former Vice Chancellor who gave substantial direction to the affairs of Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady kerala. I am indebted to him as also to others professors like prof. P.C. Muralimadhavan under whom I prepared a volume on Dattakamimamsa. It was he who asked me to edit the work of Godavarmaraja. I am indebted to these and many other teachers who have guided me in my research activities.
The present publisher has already published a book on the above subject. I am glad that he agreed to bring out this collection also.
Tam also grateful to my family members who supported me in my academic pursuits, including my beloved husband Shri P. Krishnakutty who retired form Guruvayur Devaswom serving as Deputy Administrator with humble prayers I dedicated the volume at the feet of the Lord of Guruvayur temple, my tutelary deity.
