Sri K.V. Krishna Murthy brings out the life story and the unfamiliar spiritual developments of a South Indian Brahmin seeker Satyanarayana who turned out to be one of the greatest Spiritual leaders and Guru of our times.
Dr. P.V. Nath has translated this book into English and has shown his depth and skill in presenting the difficult aspects of spiritual development in easy and understandable English.
One of his important tasks is to reduce the gap between different religions and nationalities and to bring about an understanding amidst them and to share the traditional knowledge of the Vedas with the mystical essence of the Rishis to the common man.
Sri Swamiji was born in 1942 in Mekedatu, a village in South India. His family named him Saryanarayana. Father, Narasimha Shastry was a priest who conducted rites and rituals for Hindus and a village herbal doctor and healer. Mother Jayalakshmi followed. many mystical spiritual practices and was adept in Yoga, which she gave to deserving students. She was the Guru of Satyanaravana. When she died, Satyanarayana was 11 years old.
The school did not interest him because his heart moved towards an inner awakening. His special energy lies in the favorite Hindu god, Ganapati.
Soon after, Satyanarayana became known as Ganapathy Sachchidananda Swamiji and turned out as an enlightened teacher of the world. One important step in this direction was the starting of the Ganapathy Sachchidananda Ashrama.
From here on he took constant traveling to various parts of India and since 1976; he visits the western lands where he speaks about the mystic and surprises them. Many come to him to get over their faith transformed towards peace and to find the truth. Many come for physical and psychological healing and the music that Sri Swamiji plays has got very special meaning for sick people thereby it is called as music for meditation and healing.
This book in your hands explains not only the fascinating story of Sri Swamiji but also many episodes of people in whose life, Sri Swamiji had an important role to play in India, Europe and America. At the same time you find in the reflections of the absolute many teachings of Sri Swamiji especially for those who learn Yoga.
The present English edition contains the Anubandhamu - or progressive series - bringing the events up to date. We thank Dr.PV Nath, OBE of New Castle, UK for translating the biography to English. May Pujya Sri Swamiji shower choicest Blessings on Him and others involved in this project.
