Based on the tenets of Gaudiya Vaishnavism, the play depicts Radha's simple Bhakti growing into Mahabhava its highest culmination usually associated with only Radha by vaishnava scholars. Panuganti was inspired to write this play by Ashutosh Mukherji's Lord Gauranga.
