Introduction What is this enigmatic book? Is it history, philosophy, science, or religion? Does it tell us how to enhance our material prosperity, comfort and ease, along with lawful honesty, efficiency and perfection or how to develop an attitude of mind which will not only defy any defeat or calamity in life, but also increase the power of the soul so that it will soon learn to be in tune with the Infinite? Indeed, no book will ever make us prosperous or spiritual. At the best, it will persuade us to go by the way which leads to prosperity, to divinity or to both. For, man is free to go one way or the other, and none can compel him to do a particular thing. Persuasion is enough; to go beyond it is silly, and this is what the writer of the present book wishes to do.
