Folk music particularly is something that cannot be missed when trying to understand the lively culture of Haryana. Born in Janti Kala, Pandit Lakhmi Chand contributed significantly to the folk music tradition of Haryana in the forms of Raagini and Saang he sang and popularised. Since his Raaginis could not be written during his lifespan - DR. PURNA CHAND SHARMA with his book aims to bridge the gap, in preserving the cultural roots.
