Profession is a vital link to one's existence. The profession of a person is directly linked to the destiny of a person, which in turn is linked to one's 'Karmas' The Law of Karma is infallible and everyone is subjected to it. It is here where astrology and its parameters creep in to weigh one's prospects of having a sustainable profession, as a subject of science and not as a dogma To attain a proper professional career is the most significant responsibility of a person, as it sets the direction in which one has to live with in one's life, particularly for one's sustenance in life monetarily. As per the present scenario of economy, when the professions are now multiple in number, enough prudence in this behalf shall have to be exhibited by a prudent astrologer to club various astrological parameters to locate the earnings of a person through his or her profession. Looking to the scenario of the availability of varied professions now, it will thus be a challenging job for a leaned astrologer to identify the profession of a person, with accurate proximity and reliability.

Considering all the above factors an attempt has been made in this book to cover almost most of the prominent professional fields with due care and reference to relevant astrological factors thereof This book is spread over about main fifteen (15) chapters covering various types and forms of professions and its different variants based on astrological logistics. All such cases have been explained in detail along with the relevant birth charts and the divisional charts.

While Vedic Astrology is an unfathomable ocean of knowledge, yet, this author has tried his best to make this book on profession and its variants a good presentation in respect of its importance of usages in its uses in predictive astrology.

Hope this book will provide enough insight into the relevance of Profession of a person through, astrology and will serve as a good guide in this regard.

Er. P.L. Khushu did his graduation in Civil Engineering with distinction from Jiwaji University Gwalior, Gwalior, M.P. He retired as a high profile Civil Engineer from the State of Jammu & Kashmir, as a senior level Civil Engineer. He is a consultant Chartered Civil Engineer, of Institution of Engineers (India) and a fellow member of the Indian Council of Arbitration, being on the panel of the Indian Council of Arbitration as an empanelled Arbitrator. He qualified Jyotish Acharya from the Institute of Astrology, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi, with distinction about 20 years back. He pursued advanced research work in astrology in the Institute of Astrology, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi, under the guidance of respected Sh. K.N. Rao, who is a world famous legend of astrological studies. He has attended several seminars of astrology and has written books on various topics of astrology apart from voluminous articles on astrology and its various astrological facets. He is a practicing astrologer very much in demand due to his high acumen predictive techniques of astrology.

Before I express my views in the Preface of this book, I need to mention here that my prolonged association of many years with the senior most astrological research class of 'Bhartiya-Vidya-Bhavan, New Delhi, under the blessed guidance of respected Sh. K.N.Rao, a great astrologer of the present times, gave me a privileged chance of learning astrology and its various parameters applicable to different facets of one's life, to a far greater extent. While having taught his students, which includes me too, the advanced predictive methods of astrology and its applications in relation to the various walks of life, by our Jyotish Guru Sh. K.N.Rao, the subject of profession and its various variants, was one of such topics, which was elaborately explained and deliberated upon by him, to his research students in such research classes.

As a research student I got ample opportunity to amplify and decode the defined parameters of profession and its various variants, as mentioned in the 'Classic-Books' of astrology, through a well disciplined research work on this topic of profession and its variants, by applying these astrological norms to hundreds of horoscopes, covering the various parameters linked to the subject of profession and its variants.

I am a privileged research student amongst those research students, who have equally worked on scores of such horoscopes pertaining to this field of astrology relevant to profession. It is thus an ordained fortunate 'Karma' of mine, when the destiny afforded me a chance to be a research student of advanced astrology, as I am now in a position to author this book on professions, captioned as "Profession through Vedic Astrology", It is all due to my Jyotish Guru Sh. K.N.Rao's blessings and teachings, that I have been able to write this book on the subject of profession.

Coming back to this book, it is necessary to mention here that the profession of a person is directly linked to one's destiny, which in turn is linked to one's 'Karmas'. The Law of Karma is infallible and everyone invariably is subjected to it. Unfortunately, due to ignorance mostly one forgets the universal fact that one's destiny gets created by one's own karmas or deeds of one's past births. As per the law of karma, every positive deed which one performs does create a positive favor for him or her for future births, while as any negative deed thereof results in a an imperfect deed known as a 'Sin', for which a person has to repay through unhappiness and pain. A person's whole life is predestined, along with the major related factors linked to it, which includes his or her profession too, which is further linked to one's earnings. that has a direct base to his or her sustenance and that of the family dependent upon such a person.
