Book Description
About the Book

The book is written to promote Ayurvedic practice. It covers all the topics which are necessary from Ayurvedic practice point of view. Ayurved is Indian system of medicine and now, it is alternate system of medicine in India. This is my little attempt to make it back to main system of medicine in India.

Preface

Ayurveda is one of the most ancient systems of medicine in the world. Its origin goes back to the scared vedas which are considered the oldest scriptures on the human wisdom and civilisation.

From clinical point of view, today there is not even a single book in which systematically practical ayurvedic management is mentioned. Keeping this in mind, this book is written.

This book is designed in such a way that it is complete with in itself from ayurvedic practice point of view. It covers all topics necessary for practice whether it is basic principles, diseases and their ayurvedic management, ayurvedic medicines (single as well as compound) and planning for ayurvedic practice.

It becomes lengthy and confusing to cover both ayurvedic as well as modem theortical part of the diseases. Clinically, modem theory of all diseases and ayurvedic theory of some diseases is necessary and that are covered in this book.

While compiling this book, I received invaluable help from Dr. Amit Teneja, Dr. Sunil Arya and Dr. Subhash Kumar. I am thankful to all of them.

This book is dedicated to my Godfather Vaid Hari Shanker Dev Sharma and to my parents.
