Lauded as the new ‘Guru Of Fusion,’ Prem Joshua is a multi-talented master musician. Not only does he compose and perform his own special strain of music, he also plays a range of instruments, including the flute, saxophone and sitar. His music is a rich blend of traditional Indian ragas and cutting-edge sounds and grooves, embroidered with the natural sounds of acoustic Indian instruments and percussion instruments from across the globe.
In early 2004 the music channel MTV invited Joshua and his band to give a half-hour live performance during one of their regular MTV live shows in Bombay - a rare opportunity for a musician of his genre. Prem Joshua - Live at MTV presents a recording of this concert, the first-ever video recording of the celebrated artiste released in India. It also includes four scintillating tracks from the open air performance held in the mystifying town of Pushkar.
