The use of conditional dasha is essential to confirm the readings of any general dasha. This is like an expert opinion. This dasha is applicable on horoscopes having Sun in lagna irrespective of sign rising. This dasha is applicable on divisional charts which are the essence of prediction. All 110 examples are analysed with three dasha systems and it is important to have a broader outlook of predictive technique
Shri. Vinod Prakash Goel is a former officer of the Indian Engineering Services and has served the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. He also held senior managerial positions with private companies in India and abroad before setting up a business in Engineering, Manufacturing and Contracting. Shri. Goel is an M.Tech from IIT Kharagpur and B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering (Honors) from Banaras Hindu University. In the year 1999 and 2000, he was awarded the Gold Medal for Jyotish Alankar and Jyotish Acharya at the Institute of Astrology, Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, New Delhi.
Shri V.P. Goel, gold medalist during his student days in the I.I.T. and also a gold medalist in the Jyotish examinations of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan is now on the teaching faculty of the Institute of Astrology. Like the brilliant man he is, teaching and his other professional work has not kept him away from keen astrological researches particularly in the lesser used dashas. As can be seen, in a span of less than two years he first produced a book on Yogini Sasha, with an originality which his method of progressing showed. His second book, shadashottari Dasha which followed his probing mind one again. Now comes this book, Shasti Hayani Dasha applicable to those horoscopes in which sun is in the lagna. This dasha therefore becomes applicable to those who were born at sunrise in the morning. He has followed a sound and scientific scheme of using the relevant divisional horoscopes and showing the same event through other dashas also, particularly the Vimshottari and Yogini Dashas. Such brilliant researches will lead to a better understanding of the secrets of Maharshi Parashara's magnus opus, the Flora Shastra. It is thus that we will begin to re-discover the lost treasures.
Sage Parashara has listed 35 Dasha in Brihat Prashara Hora Shastra. Most of the Astrologers do not make use of these Dasha. Why Parashara should explain all these special Dasha? It was his genius and deep understanding of the subject, which prescribe general as well as special medicine for different patients. This motivation to explore deeper into these special Dasha is the reason to bring out this book. Sh. K.N. Rao is the source of the motivation. Special medicine takes precedence over general medicine. In charts where the special Dasha is applicable it must be used for correct assessment. This dasha can be applied to large percentage of horoscopes. The divisional charts are another lesser-used area. Again the question arises "Why have Parashara gien Divisional chart in the very beginning of BHPS before he laid down principles of analysis of a chart. He wanted us to make use of them. The use of Divisional charts has been illustrated and all timing of events is verified through relevant Divisional chart. Twenty one charts have been given with 110 events. These events are timed with Shasti Hayani Dasha and Divisional charts. These events are also checked with Vimshottari and progress Yogini dasha to make an appreciation of their application in timing of an event. The charts have been taken from friends, publications of BVB and I am thankful to all of hem. **Contents and Sample Pages**
