One who wants to honour Ayurveda has to follow four essential paths viz learn, understand, practice and preach. Text is an inevitable part of spreading the Ayurvedic science. There is a dearth of textbook in PG course of samhita and siddhanta subject. As the syllabus is scattered, students has to ponder many texts to make knowledge of points dealt. This book is an outcome of finding solution for this problem and it makes easy for scholar to study the PG course of Samhita and Siddhanta. We feel extremely happy to bring you this book with English translation. It covers much more details than syllabus points and becomes knowledge oriented rather than just a syllabus based text. Hoping this book becomes beneficial for all who seek knowledge of Samhita and Siddhanta especially PG students.

Dr. Kirathamoorthy P. P., born in Palakkad,Kerala. He completed his Graduation from Ayurveda College Coimbatore, Madras University and Post graduation in Kayachikistha from Govt.College of Indian Medicine, Mysore. Currently doing Ph.D in Ayurveda Samhitha and Sidhantha at University of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune. He published more than 5 books and wrote many articles in various journals. Served as the convenor of foreign students course for scholars from • Duisburg Essen University Germany and also coordinator for collaborative research study with Duisburg Essen University Germany. He has got 30 years of teaching experience in Sarnhitha & Sidhantha and currently he is working is Professor and H.O.D in the Department of Samhitha, Sanskrit and Sidhantha at VPSV Ayurveda college, Kottakkal.

Dr Anoop. A. K , born in Kannur, Kerala, completed Graduation from M.V.R Ayurveda medical College Parassinikkadavu, Kerala, Kannur University (2010) and Post graduation in Samhitha and Sidhantha from Govt. Ayurveda College Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala University of Health Sciences) in the year 2014. Currently doing Ph.D in Ayurveda Samhitha and Sidhantha at Parul University Vadodhara, Gujarat. He has published articles in National and International peer reviewed journals and presented papers in various conferences. Worked as Deputy Physician. at Arya vaidyasala, AH&RC Kottakkal for 3 years. Currently he is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Samhitha, Sanskrit and Sidhantha at VPSV Ayurveda college, Kottakkal.
