The book is a collection of essays on the philosophy of Professor Suresh Chandra, one of the most eminent Philosophers of India. These essays reflect the different aspects of his philosophy which range from studies in analytic philosophy to studies on Gandhi. Professor Suresh Chandra has thought deeply on the issues of knowledge, language, self, world, consciousness etc. from various points of view. He has maintained largely am empiricist point of view and adopted a critical method of philosophizing. He ha shown remarkable clarity in understanding other philosophers views though he has not hesitated to criticize them.
About the Editor
Professor R.C. Pradhan, the editor of this volume, is at present Professor of Philosophy at the University of Hyderabad, India. He was formerly the Member Secretary of the Indian Council of Philosophical Research, New Delhi. He has authored many books and has contributed many papers to philosophical journals. He specializes in the philosophy of Wittgenstein, philosophy of language and analytic philosophy in general.
