Dr. Kamal Kansal did his graduation from NHMC, Delhi and received medal from Board of Homoeopathic System of Medicine, Delhi and Dr. Kaura Lal Ram Krishan Sachdeva Memorial Award for good academic performance. He is founder of Homoeopathic Education Forum and Editor of ‘Homoeopathic Up-date’. He has written various articles and has enriched the homeopathic literature by his monumental work. In the recognition of his literary contribution and dedication to homeopathy, he has been awarded B. Jain International Award (Gold Medal) in Homeopathy for the year 1993 and a ‘Special Award’ for the year 1994.

To keep animals as pets has been a tradition since primitive ages. Animal was the only companion of man in the past. Even today animals are kept as pets or for commercial gain.

As our body gets affected by diseases, similarly the birds and animals also get diseases. Medical treatment of the ailing animals can be made available at once. To recognise symptoms in animals is similar to recognising them in human babies since both can’t speak.

General anatomy of animals and their physical functions, conduct of a healthy animal, symptoms in ailing. animals, effective medical treatment and description of homeopathic medicines has been given in this booklet.

It is important for every master to acquire such knowledge so that he could give his animal an appropriate and timely treatment. This booklet will prove helpful in achieving this aim.

I thank my publishers for extending to me an opportunity to undertake the translation of this booklet into English. This booklet has primarily been written in Hindi by an eminent homeopath, Dr. Kamal Kansal.

I wish to explain in brief as to how this booklet impressed and inspired me to undertake my task sincerely for the benefit of all. Before beginning my job as a translator, I went through the whole book to acquire a prior knowledge about the subject. I found it highly useful for our animal friends.
