Shri Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya (1479-1531) founded the Path of Grace and has gifted the world with exalted teachings. He established that this creation is comprised of Blissful God and nothing but God. This pure view inspires us to discover His joy in ourselves and in the world. Shri Vallabhacharya taught his followers to always experience Shri Krishna everywhere and with every feeling. In his Path of Grace we find an unparalleled group of Acharyas and bhaktas that have together produced several oceans of philosophy, art, literature and music. Everything is offered in Shri Krishna's pleasing service, His seva.
For grace-filled souls, the world is not unreal n something to overcome, but rather it is adivin wherein the experience of Shri Krishna and His creation can be experienced as a lila, a divine play. Shri Vallabhacharya encourages us to live happily in this world and offer our bodies, wealth, hearts and everything to the Lord of Sweetness. Shri Krishna pays close attention to those who adore Him and returns every favor one-hundred fold. To know and love Him is devotion. To experience His rapture is Grace. The Path of Grace inspires us to employ the powers of our hearts and minds in His pleasure. It encourages us to use our bodies and every resource in a brilliant and sensitive manner so that we ultimately become possessed by Divinity. In that blessed state, is there even a need for liberation?
Shri Vallabhacharya has gathered the drops of nectar that have overflowed from Shri Krishna's bliss form and has created a Path of Grace from them. The climb out is too steep and so Shri Krishna descends towards us and plays according to the aptitudes of His bhaktas. His congregation of nectar, fueled by graceful nourishment, appeared in its complete form with the birth of Shri Vallabhacharya. His non-dual devotional view is coupled perfectly with endless creative expressions that are all offered to the Lord of sweetness. His lineage continued through his son, Shri Gusainji, who further developed the movements of grace wherein yogis, artists, brahmins, muslims, kings and poets all found a common platform.
If I have captured a single drop of the Ocean of Grace within these pages, I consider my efforts successful. Whatever is worthy in this presentation is due to the blessing of my Guru, His Holiness Goswami Shri Prathameshji. All shortcomings are due to my own inadequacies.
