Padartha Vijnanam (fundamental principles of Ayurveda and quantum mechanics) is an important subject of the BAMS program for the undergraduate students of Ayurveda. This book deals with the subject as per board of Ayurveda, NCISM New Delhi, and here in sincere manner which will be beneficial for the student for academic purpose and additional knowledge of language. Padartha Vijnanam is a unique and mandatory subject needed for learning the stream of Ayurveda. It is the combination of science and philosophy. One can say that the science and philosophy are the two sides of the same coin. Padartha Vijnanam is an essential base of Ayurveda education. When the foundation becomes strong building also becomes strong. Padartha Vijnanam not only provides the platform to understand Ayurveda better but it also helps the students to appreciate the moral values beneficiating them in developing the personality.

G Dr. Shashirekha H. K. completed Graduation (2006) and Post-Graduation in Ayurveda Samhita (2010) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore, Karnataka and Ph.D in Ayurveda (Samhita) from Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeta, Pune Maharashtra. M.A. (Sanskrit) from Karnataka State Open University Mysore, Karnataka, M.Sc. (Psychology) from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu and M. Sc. (Yoga) from Periyar University (PRIDE), Salem Tamil Nadu. She published many articles in various Peer Reviewed International Journal.She worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Samhita and Siddhant at Sri. Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara college of Ayurveda and Hospital Hassan. Karnataka. Currently she is Professor and Head in Department in the Department of Samhita and Sanskrit at Faculty of Ayurveda (IMS), Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi. She is acclaimed teacher for Graduate, Post Graduate and Ph. D scholars.
Dr. Bargale Sushant Sukumar completed Graduation (2006) and Post- Graduation in Swasthavritta (2010) and Ph.D. in Ayurveda (Swasthavritto) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore, Karnataka. He completed M. Sc. [Yoga) from Periyar University (PRIDE), Salem Tamil Nadu and M.Sc. (Psychology) from Madural Kamaral University, Tamil Nadu. Currently he is Professor in Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga at Sri. Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara College of Ayurveda and Hospital Hassan, Karnataka. He published many articles in National and international Peer Reviewed journals and presented good number of papers in various International and National conferences.

We are happy to present the book Padartha Vijnanam (fundamental principles of ayurveda and quantum mechanics), which will be useful for the students of I professional Ayurvedcharya (BAMS) and post graduate students of Samhita and Siddhant as well as enthusiastic readers of Ayurveda. We have taken great care that all topics mentioned as per the new syllabus Board of Ayurveda, National commission for Indian system of medicine New Delhi have been covered in this book.
