Manjit Tiwana (b. 1947) has post-graduate degrees in English and Psychology. She was awarded a Ph.D. degree in Psychology for her pioneering research on the processes of creative writing. She has published five collections of poems including Ihaam, Ilzam and Uninda Vartman; Savitri, a long epic poem, two novels and a play. She has been teaching Psychology in a Govt. College for last 25 years.
B.M. Razdan (1924-2000) started his literary career in 1969. He joined English Department, Punjabi University in 1971 and retired in 1984. He had been translating regularly from Punjabi into English.
