The research work on Adi Christianity in particular and Adi society in general has very scanty written records from the native side. Few documents found were either unpublished or were records maintained by the missionaries which though serve as a valuable source of information but in a way inadequate. In addition, few among the Adi Christian pioneers who are aliveare facing various challenges to construct inclusive history of their own. So, this book is a first attempt of urgent search for the Origin and Development of Christianity among the Adis with special reference to Adi Baptist Union, analyzing its present development and challenges as its concluding remark. The book focuses mainly on the origin of Adi Christianity-calculating all determinants involved, and particular development of Adi Baptist Union as an organized body, with critical reflection on ongoing contextual issues that church needs to address cautiously.
Our God is the God of Mission. God's mission vision according to Isaiah is, "They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea" (Isaiah 11:9 cf. Habakuk 2:14). Perfect harmony in the entire creation resulted in perfect peace centered in Jesus' perfect rule and this is the fulfilment of God's vision. This truth permeated the whole Bible. God's desire is that the earth, the entire world, be filled with the knowledge of the Lord in all his glory, and all the people will know the Lord with all his glory. This vision, and the acts of God for the fulfillment of this vision runs through the entire Bible. This could be one of the most helpful hermeneutical keys to unlock the message of the Bible. And this is missional hermeneutics. The purpose of God's words through the priests and the prophets and his actions in the history, especially of the Israelites, is that people on earth may know him, the only true God, the creator, controller, owner and redeemer of the world. Christopher Wright is certainly right in saying, "This self-communicating drive is involved int everything God does in creation, revelation, salvation and judgment.

There are several significant internal as well as external elements that directly or indirectly shaped the growth and development of Christianity into the lands of Adis. At the same time, there are various hindering factors too, that obstructed Gospel and its expansion into the land of Adis. The contributions of missionaries as well as Adis are worth appreciable and worth mentioning to cherished the labor and pain they met with, which occupies vital scene in the history of Christianity among the Adis in particular and history of Christianity in Arunachal in general. However, Christianity among the Adis did not simply expand uniformly, rather it has gone through hurdles, strong waves and many pitfalls that directs the course of its growth and expansion.
