Judges of the Supreme Court are so erudite that they cannot help writing scholarly judgments, Some of their judgments are also in complex prose. This poses a problem for lay readers and also for students of law. More often than not, they avoid reading the full text of the judgments reported in standard law journals. Instead, they rely on "help books". Admittedly, these books do not do justice to the brilliant logic and profound erudition of the judges. Against this background, summaries of some of the important judgments attempted by me, might bring out the logic and erudition of the judges and be easy to read by both lay readers as well as students of law.
