In the article, Tribal antiquities of Lord Jagannatha and His cult, the author rightly demonstrates that there is Khond's spiritual bequest to the Jagannatha cult. Ambika images from Andhra Pradesh & Telangana as sasanadevi in Jaina art is well examined and discussed. A rare relief sculpture of Hari-Hara Lingodbhava form from Devikapuram, Tamil Nadu is brought to light and analyzed critically with the help of texts and other sources. Evolution of Visnu and his tutelary forms and Laksmi motifs through Indian coinage is well illustrated chronologically. Origin of Saivism in south Odisha, position of woman in ancient and medieval times and some other articles included in this volume are of great interest. The articles are well illustrated and discussed by giving the reasonable conclusions.
