Preface to First Edition

Your overwhelming and appreciable response during the recent years to the acceptability of the earlier edition of my book ‘New Dimensions in Hindu Astrology’ has indeed prompted my inner self to place before you a Revised and Enlarged version in this Edition.

Astrological sciences, in the process of constant erosion of faith for ages have been lost to posterity and have suffered immense damage for infractions of moral Code, even if unwritten which is a common phenomenon amongst the astrologers as they deal with the fear of unknown yet to unfold. It is reprehensible indeed to see an astrologer making instant predictions without even checking the prime data of a native on which a horoscope has been constructed. This practice of making instant predictions further deepens the belief that the astrologers in general today are either Cavalier to their profession or dismally ignorant of the aspects of astronomy on which, in fact all astrological predictions of future events are based. Viewed against this background nearly half of the work in this book has been devoted to make astronomical aspects clear to the reader simply to experience an improvement in the moral code of astrologers and in the quality of their predictions in future.

Dear reader should keep in mind that this work is fully devoted to make the basic fundamentals of related astronomy, and astrology clear and the subjects like medical astronomy, profession, finance and married life etc. need an advanced work on each such subject. I hope, in the near future a volume of work individually devoted to each one of them, you will find placed before you one after another.

I am deeply grateful to Mr. Kamlesh Chandra, General Manager ‘TRIFED’ and Mrs. and Mr. Dr. Virender Sobti M.B.B.S. Who have taken pains to edit this work by improving upon the clarity of Concepts and Understanding of Astrology by our readers.

Preface to First Edition

This Book has been written keeping in view that a scientific and Systematic knowledge may be provided to the students of Astrology. It has been observed that even fundamentals are not clear to many students. This book presents a correct approach in this regard.

Keeping aside this, the book presents excellent expressions of predictive Astrology which includes, Strength of Planets in different Signs, Circular Casting of Horoscope, Behaviour of Malefics and Banefics with Live and Non-Live things, Relations of one house with others, Presentation of Raj Yoga in quite a new way, Rectification of errors of Horoscope and Synchronization of periods alongwith many other aspects.

Every effort has been made to express each detail in a way that even a layman may understand everything easily.

I hope that this book will help the beginners in understanding this Subject and help as a guide line to those who are interested in this subject.
