In this book Sankalpo presents Reiki as an Eastern spiritual system misunderstood, forgotten, distorted and reduced to the healing method everybody knows. Reiki is much more! VEET SANKALPO (HENRI VIRET)

Sankalpo is born in Avignon, an historical city in the South of France in September 1949, He studied laws and got a master degree in 1973. He worked as bank assistant-manager until 1978.

His life suddenly changes drastically and he started a new job as Tourist guide and resident manager in Indonesia, Maldives Islands, Sri Lanka, Thailand and India for the best French Travel Agencies. During this 22 years period of intense traveling in Asia he met many Masters of different traditions and discovered spirituality on different forms. He met Osho for the first time in 1979 and became an Osho Sannyasin in 1982. He was initiated into the 1rst and the 2nd degree of Reiki in Poona in 1987. He became a Reiki Master in Poona in 1992. Sankalpo started to teach Reiki in the traditional form but was not satisfied with the narrowness of conceptions of the Usui tradition. In 1993, he created a new system the Neo Reiki to explore and develop the spiritual dimensions of Reiki.

Many books have been written on Reiki, worldwide, and it seems that everything has been said on the subject. Most of them are just newer versions of the first books published in the early nineties by the famous western Reiki masters of those times.

If these original books remain an authority in the matter of traditional Reiki, they nevertheless were made in order to promote Reiki on a large scale, and even though they have perfectly succeeded in making Reiki popular, they are far from having explored all its dimensions.

They are good manuals for the Reiki practice, but they belong to an one-dimensional and simplistic conception which reduce Reiki to an efficient healing process, complete by itself, which doesn't need any understanding, any explanations, any further applications and evolution.
