Loreto and Pam: As I Saw Them

. My relationship with Pam and Loreto goes; back to only about 20 years ago. I feel they not been a couple who were handpicked by the angels in heaven to enter the state of matrimony. No, they are very much like anyone else among us experiencing similar struggles and joys that any one of us does have. Yet, they have stood out among us as an extraordinary couple to whom we can look up to in many ways.

. The first thing that strikes me of Loreto and Pam is that although they have occupied such high positions in the services, yet they are not a couple that wear an air of superiority on their sleeve. They talk and relate with people as though they are one of them, and on an equal footing with them.

. They are a dependable couple. You have only to entrust some work or assignment to either of them, and you can rest assured that it will be done... and done to perfection.

. They are a people who are very dedicated to duty. Pam is in charge of the ushers group in our Holy Ghost Church parish since 1996. Rain or snow she will be at her work every Sunday morning without fail. On big feast days like Christmas or Easter, after completing the work of ushering people at a late evening Mass along with her other helpers, she will once again return to church in the morning, to resume her work of ushering people at Mass.

That is her level of dedication.

. And above all they are a very friendly couple. They will always be willing to say a word of greeting to people whom they meet. Pam will go out of her way to say a word of welcome to a stranger or to a person who has come newly to our parish. And they have hosted many a dinner and get together at their place, only to bring greater joy and happiness to people. Hence I feel both Pam and Loreto have been an extraordinary couple in our parish.
