In the recent past, I have encountered a substantial amount of content, even on various social media forums, about the relationship of Radha and Krishna. Most of the fables and stories are creating an impression that the couple was in an unethical accord.

Radha-legally wedded wife of one-slandered to be Lord Krishna's illicit lover, yet worshipped beside him for centuries together. Radha-proud, independent and bold-widely considered a selfless lover yet forgotten about or not mentioned as one of Krishna's wives. The contradictions are aplenty and appalling.

My deep affectionate for the couple and faith in Lord Krishna made these myths and canards unacceptable. Moreover, when I searched for authentic details about Radha to understand the reality, I found no traces anywhere. This made me increasingly inquisitive about her life. My quest led me to find tidbits of information in various works of literature such as Brahma Vaivart Puran, Garg Sambita and few others. Geet Govinda, which I was surprised to find out, had a detailed account of how even the cowherd we consider God and his lover shared lascivious and passionate intimacy which they never failed to show each other. I was stunned by the number of misunderstood, boxed stories of Radha and Krishna.

Starting from the creation of the universe, to the departure of this divine couple from Earth, all the stories are full of love, affection, romance, sensual desires, unification, jealousy, anger, separation, pain, maturity, reunion and much more.

My Affair with Radha is an attempt to reveal such untold stories-be it about Radha's existence even before her incarnation on the planet, her ego that lead to her demotion as a normal human being from a celestial being. Her separation from Krishna for hundred years, encounters with Krishna and the couple's amorous pastime in isolation and also stories about their reunion and departure from the Earth.

The book showcases the divinity and supremacy of the Goddess and it also exhibits the secret love games of the divine couple. It presents joyous moments of sensual copulation as well as the pain of separation. All the stories are interwoven and presented as if it is narrated to me by Krishna himself.
