About The Author
Acharya Ratnanada hails from family of spiritual masters. His parents were associated with the youngest son of Mahatma Gandhi and took active part in India's freedom struggle.
He received his early education in a christen institution and studied at home the Hindu classics and epics. This two-fold knowledge later helped him to develop a scientific temper and a spirit of enquiry in understanding and appreciating the heritage of India.
It also enabled him to have a clearer perception of the differences between the eastern and western schools of thought, influencing life in physical, emotional and spitritual planes.
He has travelled far and wide in India and Europe, speaking to mulimudes of men, women and children about the reservoir of scientific and spiritual wisdom in the ancient scriptures.
He is founder trustee of Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth, an educational and cultural institution, recognized by the Government of Karnataka and Government of India. He is also the president of India, a charitable trust with international contacts.
Acharya Ratnanada is engaged in compiling many notable folklore tales of india, which have great relevance to present day problems.
These are being done in a project "Tales for Young and Old". Another project of his concerns Yoga and it's sources, as well as the ancient science of Ayurveda.
