I feel proud in‘ presenting the third edition of the "Midline Medical Dictionary" for the benefit of the medical profession by slightly revising, enlarging and trying to do away with the shortcomings of the previous editions. Not only this, but I have also endeavoured to include some of the most important Charts relating to the human anatomy at the concluding portion of the "Dictionary" with a view that they may become more and more useful for the medical students and for all those who may have a distinctive liking to broaden their knowledge in the field of medicine.

With this hope that the present edition would prove more fruitful for the medical profession, I would not forget to pay my heartfelt gratitudes to Dr. Vimal Bharadwaj, DHMS, who took great pains in sketching the captioned Charts.

Above all, I feel greatly indebted to the publications ' ever - energetic and the most progressive Director - Shri Kuldeep Jain, the genius - for constantly encouraging me to add something more to my writings and translation work.
