About the Book Religious Pluralism cannot be limited to intellectual circles and scholarly writings; nor can it be confined within one geographical location or within an era of human history. Religious Pluralism is a lived-in reality in which one can never overestimate its influence and impact on human society. This book deals with how one religion can co- exist and co-relate harmoniously with another in any given location.

The presentation is meant to outshine the importance of Inter-Faith Dialogue which, being a vast subject, cannot be covered in a single attempt. The book focuses on Eli Stanley Jones, a 20" century American Methodist Missionary to India and a Theologian, who through his tireless efforts became one of the pioneers of Inter-Faith Dialogue in India. When Jones came to India, he began working with the lowest castes, including Dalits, and also started giving lectures to the educated classes of the then India. It attempts to highlight how Jones uses "Christ of the Indian Road" effectively to make his impact on the Indian Theological scene.

About the Author Rev. Zadingluaia Chinzah was born and brought up under the guidance of his missionary parents. After his secondary education in Imphal, Manipur in the North East region of India, he graduated from St. Joseph's College of Arts and Science, Bangalore. He successfully pursued his Bachelor of Divinity from United Theological College, Bangalore, under the Senate of Serampore. After a year of pastoral ministry, he undertook his Master of Theology from the University of Edinburgh, UK. He is now an ordained minister of the Lairam Jesus Christ Baptist Church.

Foreword One of the joys of being a teacher is to witness and wonder at the blossoming of bright-eyed, young theological students, embodying optimism, hope, and boundless potential, into public theologians, perhaps a little older but with the spark undiminished - public theologians who make noteworthy contributions at a variety of levels to life in the church and wider society, and continue to build the worldwide network of relationships through faithful ministry and ongoing publications. It is with this joy that I welcome Chinzah's contribution to Indian Christian Theology through this book which takes a fresh look at the ongoing vitality of E. Stanley Jones' Christology and how the life, legacy, teachings, challenges, and contributions of this wonderfully complex individual can continue to be heard on "the Indian road."
