The sri vaishnava siddhanta book publishing society Karaikudi started with the object of propagating the vaishnava tradition through books written in easy and lucid style has been gradually making progress.
the beacon light of Vaishnavism Sriman Ethirajan’s a first book 108 Vainava Divya Desa Varalaru was carefully studied by us for its widespread reception in Tamil speaking as well as non Tamil speaking worlds and inspired by its success we have come forward to publish this book.
The book has won the tamilnadu government prize as well as acclaims form heads of maths. This is wonderful moment for us.
The author working as a sub register in the co-operative sector maintains constant liaison with the public and despite his professional responsibility has devoted time and attention to the book in good faith and without prejudice to his service.
+- He hails from Lakshmipuram a beautiful village close to partubanur in Paramakudi taluk of Ramanathapuram District.
We take great pleasure in publishing his books which do his parents as well as karkaikudi where he is based proud.
The Alwars who fostered Vaidhnavism are 12 in number some say even 13 their nalayira divya prabhandam designed to enlighten the soul has been carefully compiled codified and edited by sri nadamuni himself an enlightened soul and presented to the Tamil speaking world. Manacalamamauni a reverenced acharya marvels at nadamuni for his Endeavour in bringing to the world the great ness of the Alwars.
Nalayira Divya Prabhandam is a eulogy of the supreme personality of godhead Sri Hari and his auspicious attributes and characteristics. A divine literature it seeks to portray the individual soul the cosmic soul the position of god etc in as enlightened a manner as possible that few texts can claim its superiority.
The palms portraying the auspicious attributes of sri Hari are thrice blessed. Their authors viz the Alwars and their hagiology have been dealt with in pure Tamil thereby fulfilling the desideratum of the learned and the scholarly people.
Our maiden venture entitled 108 Vaishnava Divya Desa Sthala varalaru was received wholeheartedly and some people felt a similar work due some people wrote in expressing this wish.
Their motivation set the tone and pattern of the present work. Our first work which received a good welcome and the impetus provided by the publishers is the foundation of the present book.
Guruparampara Prabhavam remains even to this day the valuable source material for a study of the alwars. This book is unique in all respects in that its contents are in the manipravala style.
The present book has been authored with a view to catering not only for the learned who are well versed in the study of the Alwars but also for the general reader. It is dedicated to the unique Tamil World. The book follows the previous book in sofa as it relates to styles and presentation. The bibliography includes Guruparampara Prabhavam Manavalamamuni’s Upadesaratnamala, Vainavathil Alwargalin Kalanilai (Dr. Kulasekharan) tamilagam: Varalarum Panadum (Prof. T.A. Chellam) and Nammalwarum Taminadum.
No enterprise can be crowned with success without the grace of god in the midst of my familial and official duties. I marvel at having been able to successfully bring out the book by the grace of god.
I owe my deep of gratitude to the heads of Sriperumbudur srirangam and vanamamalai maths for their benedictory missives.
Any suggestion for the overall improvement of the book in terms of contents and get up will be heeded to in the next edition.
The learned and the devout adorn Sri Hari with thousands and thousands of hymnal garlands. In presenting the psalms of the Alwars the great benefactors of the Tamil language I feel great joy and this humble experiment is and ornament offered to their sacred feet.
