Born in 1972, in a family with a fair influence of multiple cultures (rural Maharashtra to British India to even colonial Africa). She is exposed to culinary explorations at home right from childhood.
Now a Dietician by qualification and profession, her experiences at Novartis as well as in reputed hospitals like Poona Hospital and Research Centre at Pune, Sir Harkisondas Hospital at Mumbai and especially in freelance consulting led her into this maiden venture of penning down her creations.
This book is probably a path-breaking attempt by a qualified Dietician and Nutritionist at creating unconventional, off-the-beaten-track and original recipes, which are extremely easy to prepare in most homes.
Additionally, the author has made an earnest attempt to package maximal health benefits in a simplistic style. The seven "S"s (Aces) of the book Sips, Soups, Snacks, Salads, Savourings, Sweets and Sidelines- give a delectable variety to choose from for the discerning and choosy.
And innovation in the book is self-obvious. Else, who would expect a "Sweets" section in this type of a book?
This book remains the author's first offering and surely, there should be a lot more expected in the future.
