Alternating between present-day reality and a reconstructed narrative of the seizure of power by men from women, Khauna Mihir's Mound examines how women continue to have their tongues cut off when they try to tell truths that men find uncomfortable and their explosive response.

Arunava Sinha translates classic, modern and contemporary Bengali fiction and nonfiction into English. He has translated the works of writers ranging from Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and Rabindranath Tagore to Buddhadeva Bose and Sankar.
