It is a pity indeed that the veteran film-maker Shyam Benegal had to name his film on Netaji Subhas. Chandra Bose as 'The Forgotten Hero' and that the public also ignored it, too. A national shame also. because the congress government played with this Prince among Patriots', according to Mahatma Gandhi, an unworthy game, in which some of the LN.A seniors also collaborated. With the result that not only the earlier two inquiries were hogwash but the third, Justice Mukherjee Commission's report is also being blatantly denied.
The Netaji and I.N.A. chapter of contemporary Indian history is a most pivotal one, specially after the publication of Attlee's remarks that the I.N.A. was the primary reason for the British to leave India in 1947 in a hurry, the general truth about which has now come to a close with the Murkhejee Commission Report.
This book, by a former I.N.A. activist provides a comprehensive view and critique of the whole in a most readable manner.
