Dr. Vagish Shastri, the renowned Professor of Sanskrit language and literature, for years together taught the educational institutions here and abroad. An austere devotee of the Yoga and Tantraism, Dr. Shastri spiritually realized the beauty and sublimity of the Yoga and Tantra in many mountain caves and the places of pilgrimage. By dint of, his perseverance he attained great heights in the Vedic knowledge, grammer, linguistics, literature, the Yoga-Tantra, history and the Puranas. An enlightened multi-linguist, Dr. Shastri wrote more than fifty books of great value and scholarship. His entire life has been that of a scholar. He saw the publication of more than 200 Research Papers in the well known journals of the world. His "Paniniya-Dhatu-Path-Samiksha" is a voluminous work of international renowned. The work is a comparative, critical and descriptive study of the verb-roots. It's the quintessence of his vast study of the Indo-European, Indo-Iranian languages and the Sanskrit Literature. Equally significant are his scholarly and detailed Prologues to the three sections of "Vakyapadiya", a well knowned work of Bhartrihari on the Vak-Philosophy. Even today Dr. Shastri is deeply engrossed in the realization of transcendentalism, as above the allurements of the world. The scholars all over the world look to Dr. Shastri as to drink at the fountain-head of his knowledge and to satisfy their curiosity. So far as Dr. Shastri’s transcendental lore is concerned, he has his pupils and devotees in all most all the parts of the world.
The present book, "A Journey of Superconsciousness" reveals quite naturally the deep mysteries of the Vagyoga, and satisfies the inquisitive scholars of the Kundalini or the Serpent-power. Broadly speaking, it's a theoretical Prologue to the Kundalini-power and it's realization. Speaking the other way with the precious stuff, it mentally prepares the pursuers of the Kundalini-power. It's worlds apart from a number of books that speak in a light vein and an exaggerated manner about spiritual lore and it's pursuit. The book is an outcome of the writer's personal experiences and serves as a torch light on the path of spiritualism. It's the first book in the vernacular on the Superconsciousness.
The scholars and the devotees are baffled on the path of spiritualism until and unless they have a clear concept of the journey from the temporal to the spiritual. That is to say that there are different stages of spiritual knowledge, just as there's a flight of steps or a staircase as to reach the highest story of a multi-storied building. The book throws light on the nine stages that lead to the higher altitudes of spiritualism. The devotees and the scholars, on the path of spiritualism, will be able to fight out the darkness, and moving on and on, will ultimately, realize the deep ca lm of mind and happiness.
