I am delighted to have come to what is not the end, but the first station on a long road. My effort to prepare a critical edition of the Jayamadhavamanasollāsaḥ started when a copy of the same became available from the Asiatic Society. Later on, at the suggestion of Professor Ananta Lal Thakur, it was first transcribed. Subsequently, two copies of manuscript were supplied to me by the Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Pune, for transcription. So I express my thanks to staff members and colleagues of the Libraries of the Asiatic Society and Bhandarkar Research Institute. I express my thanks to Dr. S. Y. Wakankar, Director, Oriental Institute, M.S. University, Baroda and Dr. S.S. Bahulkar, Tilak Maharastra Vidyapeeth, Pune for giving me information of this manuscript.
