Foreword Ayurved is the only system of medicine, which has been the recognized source of diagnosis and treatment from time immemorial. references in ancient literature like Vedas, puranas, upanishads and the great epics as well as all subsequent literature recorded miracles happening through various methods of ayurvedic treatment. Various clinical and non-clinical branches of ayurved emerged in due course of time and these are gaining popularity all over the world in recent years. Sharir rachana occupies a pre-eminent place in ayurvedic science especially in knowledge of the body structures.

Abhinav rachana sharir deals about the ayurvedic anatomy as well as modern anatomy. in this book all the ayurvedic text's sharir-sthan is summarized and made it easy to learn. Along with this it seems that authors of this book have been able to satisfy their thirst of knowledge.

This book gives us a good brief knowledge of sharir rachana, classical views and modern approach. It is a pleasure for me to find that two bright young doctors, Dr. Ashok kumar sharma and Dr. Manisha have taken pains to bring out the information relating to sharir-rachana and meticulously record the same in the book. Their sincere and dedicated efforts which have gone into collation of information, is discernible and commendable. I am sure that students, research scholars and teachers will find this as an useful ready reference reckoner.

I wish them all the success in their future. i also urge all scholars, researchers and readers to favour them with invaluable suggestions, which will definitely boost their morale and help them improve in future.

Preface Over the years ,while teaching the sharir rachana myself, along with many of my colleagues ,shared the views of an absolute dearth of a book of sharir rachana worth mentioning to prescribe to the students.

Being constantly insisted and hard pressed by my beloved students, I ultimately decided to write a book in a short & sweet way ,Samhita oriented , syllabus wise ,comparatively easy technique to learn, along with multiple questions. Exam oriented solved subjective questions, important points of anatomy etc.

I am in hope that the book will be useful to the student of undergraduate level as well as the student of post graduate level .I however do not consider this book to be an ideal one but a humble attempt has been made to remove the bottlenecks as far as possible.

This is different type of book in the field of sharir rachana including juice of all ancient text's sharir sthan.

Very little of what is worthwhile in this book could have been brought to publication without the generous co-operation ,advice and assistance of many of my teachers ,colleagues ,seniors ,juniors, and students.
