A student of Hindi literature whose many Hindi translations and adaptations of English plays have been successfully staged all over the country, Madhurika K. Maheshwari has a deep interest in Indian mythology and religious history. Combining this interest with her research in the fields of iconography and art history, she has already written two widely and critically / acclaimed works - From Ogress to Goddess, Hariti: A Buddhist Deity (2009) and Kubera: God of Many Hues (2013).
