Astrology is an ancient subject of established importance in delineating future events of an individual in various aspects like finances, family status, friend circles, spousal relationships, diseases, profession, gains & losses, mother, father, brothers and sisters and their relationships with individuals, longevity, etc.

We can know the adversaries / obstacles in various walks of life well in advance so that we can initiate remedial action by resorting to performance of homes, grahajapam, and praying to the presiding deities of adverse planets. Astrology deals with prospects of nations, climatic conditions and all organic life as well.

In the context, there are several authors who did a commendable job in publishing several books on the subject.

In my own humble way I intend to lay down basic astrological principles in simple language - Natal astrology

Application of astrological principles to marital relationships

Evectional astrology (muhurthas for carrying out various activities)

I hope this book enables one to realize the importance of Indian astrology in various walks of life -Dharma, Artha, Kama and Moksha.

Mr. Sastry has been an ardent explorer too in the field of Astrology for several years, and was able to write a' book, which is being presented before the esteemed readers. Of course, there are quite number of books in the pipeline from the shelves of Mr. Sastry. Knowledge is abundant; teaching is important.

The author has taken special care to present the fundamentals in a self teaching method, so that the readers understand the contents and concepts quite . easily without the guidance of a preceptor.

We wish and hope there shall be more such meaningful and educative books generated for the benefit of readers.
