About the Author:
C. Jinarajadasa (1875-1953), President of the Theosophical Society from 1945 to 1953, received his Master's degree in Sanskrit and Philology from Cambridge University. A Srilankan by birth, he was, however, exceptionally fluent in many Indian and European languages; and his wide range of interests and writings included religion, philosophy, literature, art, science, and Occult Chemistry.
