The word 'Organon' consists of the first two letters the word 'Or' (Hebrew) which means light – a sacred light, the light of wisdom, a wisdom – which makes a rational art of healing for the benefit of sick human, Oraganon as the instrument to acheive the best possible outcome of Philosphy from the logic is the organon of Aristotle. Organon for Homeopathic Physician is the instrument to acheive the best possilble avenue to reach the target – the cure.
Few years of my experience in teaching undergraduate students at Bhartiya Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Bharatpur, convinces me that the students needs a precise book on Organon of Medicine for quick preparation of the whole subject in a short time with clear conception.
This present volume "Helps to Perceive the Organon" is the result of those difficulties which I felt during my undergraduate career, and afterwords when I became a teacher. Every attempt is made to keep the subject matter as brief as possible. This book has been prepared to cater the speacial needs of the homeopathic students who are appearing in DHMS or BHMS examination of any university. But I hope that this will also be helpful for the practising homeopathic physicians who can hardly spare time to read textbooks.
Views of stalwarts of Homeopathy like –Dr. Stuart Close, Dr. H.A. Robert, Dr. J.T. Kent, Dr. G. Boericke, Dr. Boenninghaughausen, Dr.P.P. Wells, Dr. A. Lippe, Dr. B.K Sarkar have been introduced whereever necessary to make this book as useful as possible.
Professor L.M.Khan, M.D. (Hom.) Director in – charge and Head of the department of Organon of Medicine, Homeopathic Philosphy, Chronic Disease and Psychology, National Institute of Homeopathy, Calcutta, has kind enough to write a Foreword. I tender my grateful thanks to him for his consitent encouragement and advice.
I feel pleasure to express my humble gratitude to my elder brother Dr S.K. Gupta M.B.B.S., D.C.P., M.D. (Pathology) for his affectionate encouragement in every respect. I am particularly thankful to Dr Hemendra Mohta, D.H.M.S., Dip. N.I.H., for his patience in reading and making a number of brilliant suggestions. I am grateful to Mr Rajendra Sharma and Mr Pawan Dubey, for their constant pursuance and help. I am thankful to my publisher Mr. M.L. Gupta, without whose support this book may not have seen the light of the day.
It is difficult for me to express fully my gratitude to my wife, Neetu, for her constant help and inspiration and also for bearing with me during the period of preparation of this book.
In last, I shall always be grateful to my learned freinds and readers for any criticism, information regarding errors and also constrictive suggestions which may help me to improve later editions.
