' I am a revolutionary first and everything else afterwards,' Har Dayal once said. It sums up the man. He had one thought, one passion: overthrowing British rule in India. A man with extraordinary qualities of mind, he inspired a whole generation of Indians.
Har Dayal: the Great Revolutionary highlights the absolute devotion and immense sacrifice of a man who lived most of his life in exile outside India, founded the Ghadar Party in the USA, and inspired and chanelled men and arms to start a second revolt in India.
Although the literature on our first-line national leaders is vast, there is little written about our pioneer nationalists, particularly the extremists who took the risks, threw the bombs, and created mass awareness. Har Dayal: the Great Revolutionary fills in this lacunae with style, clarity, and extensive detail.
