Rasashastra is a important branch of Ayurveda. Hand Book of Rasashastra written by Dr. M. B. Rudrapuri is " Must read Book " for all the students of Ayurveda, as the Author has tried to concise the subject of Rasashastra in a chart form for easy understanding of subject. This book consists various Charts, Tables and Colour photographs. This Book is designed According to CCIM Syllabus and more helpful for second year students of Ayurveda.

Dr. Mahantesh, B. Rudrapuri, born in 1978 in Belagavi, Karnataka. Completed his under graduation from Karnataka university in December 1999 and Post graduation (M.D) in Rasashastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana from Rajiv Gandhi University of-Health Sciences, Bangalore in September 2005.

He started his academic career 'in Shri. Shivayogeeshwar Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Inchal from 2001 and presently working as professor and H.O.D, P.G. Department of Rasashastra and Bhaishajya kalpana in Inchal.

In December 2014 he has Released a kannada book "AYURVEDAMRUTA". He has published various Research Articles in National and Local Magazines and Presented number of Research papers in State level, National level and International level seminars.

Hand book of Rasa Shastra is one of its kind written by Prof. Dr. M.B. Rudrapuri. It is a "Must Read Book" for all the students of Rasa Shastra and Baishajya Kalpana. Though the tittle suggests that it is a hand book, it has effectively and elaborately discussed various contents required for an Ayurvedic student at graduate level for ready references.

The beauty of this book is that all the syllabus points are also preciously delivered for the present day. B.A.M.S student.

The combination of Ancient as well as Modern points give an added edge for knowledge seekers. I feel it is my honour to write preface for this vastly experienced author's "Hand Book of Rasa Shastra" which stands as a GEM amoung series of text books written by Dr. M.B. Rudrapuri.

It gives me immense pleasure to go through this book of Rasa Shastra, by Dr.Mahantesh, B. Rudrapuri, Professor & H.O.D, P.G.Department of RSBK, Shri Shivayogeeshwar Rural Ayurvedic Medical College, Inchal. Belagavi.

The Author has tried to concise the subject of Rasashastra in a simple language and in chart form for easy understanding of subject. The Author has made a significant beginning through this book to think about the detail knowledge of Rasashastra. This is user friendly and I hope each reader will be benefitted by the book.
