The Volume of the Gurjararásávali (G.O.S. No. 118) is reprinted after a long period. It was first published in 1956. Late Prof. G. H. Bhatt, my Guru and the then General Editor of the Gaekwad's Oriental Series, has pointed out in his foreword, its importance in the field of study of the language and culture of Gujarat. Hence it is needless to mention it here once more. It is made possible to reprint this book due to 50% subvention of the Director of Languages, Government of Gujarat. I am especially thankful to Shri Hasitbhai Buch, Ex-Director of Languages and Shri I. S. Joshipura, Director of Languages, for their co-operation and keen interest in the reprint of this work.
I thank my colleague, Dr. D. S. Joshi, Research Officer, for meticulous care in correcting the Proofs. I also express my thanks to Shri B. M. Shah, Manager, M. S. University Press and his colleagues for their sincere efforts in printing the present volume during the stipulated period.
