Book Description
About the Book:

Sikhism, the first Indian movement for developing an egalitarian society, is compatible neither with any sectarian exclusiveness nor with the caste ridden and sectarian orthodox society. 'Simran' and 'Seva' are notable twin feature in sikhism which is based upon the holy word 'Saead', the touchstone of the truth as embodied in Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The present work is an anthology on Sikhism and presents a unique aspect of Sikh thought duly documented with evidence from Sri Guru Granth Sahib. The author has traced the gradual development of the thought of the term 'Guru' in Sikh ethos; right from the time of Guru Nanak to its final culmination into the doctrine of sovereignty of 'Shri Guru Granth Sahib' during the time of 'Sarbans Dani' Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and the last Guru. The publication is a convincing rebuke to the detractors of Sikh faith and hoped will go a long way in making the general public specially the non-punjabi knowing sections, realise and be truly informed vis-a-vis Shri Guru Granth Sahib'.
